Chris Bennett: Day of judgement draws near

In less than a week judging for the Optician Awards will have been completed and the finalists notified but even if you haven’t entered the Awards April 4 is a date to put in your diary.

As well as using this milestone in the Awards process to congratulate all of the lucky finalists I also want to give all of our readers a bit of a heads up about the presentation on the Saturday night of the Optrafair weekend.

At the biggest party in the optical calendar the Award winners will be revealed but, this being 2020, Optician has something very special lined up. To celebrate both a uniquely named optical year and a quarter of a century of Optician Awards the event will be hosted by a very special guest.
