Letter: Buying lenses on-line

It was gratifying to see (Optician, February 2, 2018) Chris Bennett, Optician editor, now supporting the position that simple-fit contact lenses bought on line ‘… tend to do the intended job’, and ‘… are regularly referred to as commodity items’.

Daysoft Limited is still the only contact lens manufacturer supplying lenses on-line having established, some 11 years ago, the ‘commodity’ nature of soft spherical contact lenses thereby making tens of millions of its daily-disposable lenses uniquely affordable to contact lens wearers in over 90 countries.
