View from the GOC: Educating contact lens patients

Our third annual Love Your Lenses week is now nearly upon us – from this Saturday, March 23.

This year, our focus is on helping practitioners to better educate their contact patients about how to look after their lenses. This links to our wider focus of promoting high standards.

We know from our research with contact lens patients that only 48% recall receiving aftercare advice at their appointment. Practitioners, on the other hand, say they provide this advice as a matter of course so it is clear the messages are not always landing with patients.
