Optometrist Caroline Thacker offers a flavour of her varied role working at one of Optegra’s UK hospital facilities

Optegra is a specialist provider of ophthalmic services in the UK, China, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland. It operates 23 eye hospitals and clinics and brings together leading eye research and medical expertise, state of the art surgical equipment and ophthalmic surgeons who offer vitreoretinal, keratoconus, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastic procedures and whose specialities include lens replacement surgery, cataract removal, laser vision correction and implantable telescopes for maculopathy. All procedures are carried out in specialist facilities dedicated only to eyes, where any ocular condition can be seen by the ophthalmologists.
