Clinical tools

Name: ColorDx Pro

Price: From $699 on iTunes (£480)

Description

The ColorDx is a comprehensive and accurate colour vision assessment clinical tool which allows the accurate assessment of congenital or acquired colour vision defects using a tablet.

Results appear to be repeatable and their storage is easy and infinitely better than for paper-based recording associated with the more traditional tests. There is also better versatility because the constancy of the screen output makes concerns about ambient light errors less of an issue and degradation of target colours over time (a major problem for some of the older colour tests you come across in consulting rooms) no longer a problem at all.
