Armani looks to the 60s

Simon Jones

The 2010 sunglass and optical frame collection from Giorgio Armani features contemporary elegant shapes featuring decorative elements, with designs available in different colour combinations.

Women’s rectangular shaped acetate frame GA798 (top) features thin metal temples, customised with a metal GA logo that is designed to be subtly recognisable. Colour options include dark Havana/pale gold, burgundy/pale gold and crystal/palladium.

Model GA795 (bottom) is a women’s optical frame in Optyl, which is described as being ultra-lightweight and is available in various colour effects. The rectangular shaped frame is decorated with futuristic two-coloured metal half moon detail which joins the front and the temples.

Model GA 778/S draws inspiration from the 1960s with its broad oval shape. Made in Optyl, the women’s sunglass model features a sophisticated decorative motif that joins the front and temples, while the Armani inscription appears at the corner of the temples.
