Amid the Elizabethan splendour of Stratford-upon-Avon, Essilor again managed to organise an excellent and entertaining mixture of teaching and bard-themed entertainment.

Tints and tears

First of the presentations was from Dr Catherine Porter (Manchester) who described her research into the use of tinted lenses to help with reading. She began by regaling those workers who in the past had started offering specific tints for reading problems without any obvious scientific method.
