When it comes to resilience and durability for children’s frames, designs can either rely on chunky construction or, as is the case with Lindberg, be stripped back so that potential weak points like screws, rivets and soldering are done away with.
A single piece of titanium wire goes through a process of pulling, bending and shaping to create a frame that weighs just 3gms – which Lindberg says is the lightest full frame in the world.
Lucas (below) has a simple off-round shape with low-mounted nose bridge, while Skye (pictured above) uses a similar silhouette combined with acetate inner rim for a pop of colour.
