Europe’s ability to divide opinion is beyond question but one element of the Brexit issue is agreed. No one knows for certain what will happen after June 23, whether the decision is to stay or leave.
Sir Tony Garrett, general secretary of the British Association of Dispensing Opticians highlighted divisions the EU question is likely to open. ‘The referendum to determine the UK’s future relationship with Europe will certainly be a test of mental stamina for many.
‘It is an issue which divides political parties, families, friends and colleagues. For some it will be a matter of head over heart, for others it may well be heart over head. Others will take a straight forward business decision while for some it will be a case of what is considered best for their family.
