In the late 1990s cool Britannia catapulted UK companies back into the spotlight on the international style stage. London regained its crown as the world's trendsetter and British firms basked in the reflected glow. A decade on is Britannia still cool or has it turned cold?
A regular exhibitor at overseas shows is Brulimar. According to managing director Howard Librae, the firm attracts a lot of interest from overseas opticians and buyers because of the unique position it holds and not because of its Britishness.
