Strategies for managing soft contact lens-related discomfort in clinical practice and avoiding drop-out have traditionally focused on the choice of lens material, design and replacement frequency or on the use of rewetting drops. A recent study by US researchers published in the July issue of Contact Lens & Anterior Eye suggests that selecting an appropriate lens care product can also enhance patients’ wearing experience, maintain optimal lens performance and may help to prevent drop-out.1
