Austrian sports eyewear company Evil Eye showcased frames designed to push the boundaries for sports enthusiasts and athletes alike at the launch of its autumn/winter 2024 collection. 

Daniel Saurug, head of design at Evil Eye, highlighted the importance of sports frames to performance, noting that 50% of all sports injuries could be prevented by wearing sports eyewear that improves visual clarity. 

He said one in four people could not see clearly enough and do not reach their full potential as a result. 

Saurug noted an opportunity for Evil Eye and optical practices as only 7% of eyewear users wear sports frame, of which just 3% opted for a prescription. He added that 14% wore contact lenses, 46% wore prescription frames and 33% did not.
