The overriding mood at Vision Expo East (VEE), held from March 18-20, was one of optimism, with the majority of companies expressing some confidence that the US optical market was back on track.
The positive atmosphere was fitting given that the show was celebrating its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, show organisers held a cocktail reception on the Saturday night and also raffled 25 Apple iPads over the course of the show to lucky attendees who had to show that they followed VEE through social media websites Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn in order to enter.
