Andrew McCarthy-McClean speaks to Rodenstock about the company’s transformation and its personalised approach

An evolutionary change is under way at Rodenstock as the lens company becomes a medical technology business while maintaining its focus on independent optical practices. 

This transformation is driven by Rodenstock’s Big Vision strategy that is underpinned by its product range of biometric intelligent lenses and the DNEye Scanner technology.  

Peter Travers (pictured), managing director at Rodenstock, tells Optician that innovation has always been at the heart of the company’s lens design.  

‘Our primary focus is supporting the independents to differentiate in their community and become the local hero. We support our customers’ business by driving additional footfall and average dispensing value with the best possible lenses they can get.
