The Chessington, Surrey based sunglass giant sells around five million pairs of sunnies a year to some of Britain's biggest high street names. It also creates white label products for big chains both abroad and at home and boasts brands such as Jack Wills, Monsoon, Fat Face, Bench, Ben Sherman, Jaeger, Jigsaw and Karen Millen across sun and ophthalmic ranges.
It's no surprise then that in the wake of the Which? report into cheap sunglasses (Optician 26.08.11) Fabris Lane was keen to raise the issue of standards. The Which? report found that 15 out of 21 pairs of sunglasses costing under £5 failed to meet the required standard.
