Zoe Wickens talks to Shamir UK about winning the Lens Product of the Year award for Autograph Intelligence at the Optician Awards 2019

Shamir UK is no stranger to the Optician Awards, having scooped the Lens Product of the Year prize back in 2015 and been on many shortlists over the years.

This year proved to be successful once more for the company, as its new lens, Autograph Intelligence, beat the other entries to first place. Autograph Intelligence is described by Shamir as being ‘a continuous lens design that optimally matches the wearer’s “visual age” and visual needs’, with ‘visual age’, a concept created by the company, referring to ‘the physiological age of the eye’ that ‘generally correlates with the patient’s chronological age’.
