SynergEyes UK launched Duette, its hybrid contact lens available in a centre-near progressive lens design in a single-vision form, back in 2010. In early 2018, the company developed its Centre-Distance Progressive design resulting in a new product, Duette Progressive, able to offer wearers a large amount of flexibility with lens selection. This is helpful in trying to correct emerging and advanced astigmatic presbyopes at all distances.

SynergEyes UK says that due to Duette Progressive’s bespoke and specialist nature, it can ‘cater for almost any patient with presbyopic corneal astigmatism without the chair time and drop-out often associated with fitting complex toric multifocals’. The company also emphasises that the product’s ‘unique combination of customisable base curves add powers and centre distance zone sizes driven by photopic pupil size’ in order to provide contact lenses for almost all presbyopic needs.
