Optician talks to Mick Smith and Gary Speary, owners of Eco Tech Optical - who like to take an old-fashioned approach to glazing
Eco Tech was formed just over two and a half years ago when joint managing directors Mick Smith (pictured right) and Gary Speary bought the lab from a local businessman. The lab already had something of a client base, but the duo have quietly been going about their way and cultivating new business through word of mouth. Speary's most recent experience was working at a David Clulow lab for six years, focusing solely on rimless glazing and Smith can call on over 30 years of working in manufacturing and glazing for independent practices.
