On the Frontline: Turning a browser into a dispense

For anyone who knows me, they will be aware that I like a good chat. I sometimes think that we have the best jobs in the world. We are getting paid to sit down with lots of different people and we can be nosey and ask them about their lives, plus we get to talk about cool things like ophthalmic lenses, spectacle frames, and specialist tints.

That ability to talk to people from different backgrounds is a really useful skill to have in the world of optics, getting to know our patients builds up a more relaxed relationship, your next meeting with that person will start to feel more like meeting an old friend, we could call this process building rapport.
