The New Year started with the monthly improvement we have always seen in January over December. However, the results in general fall below January last year apart from the sales volume of bi/trifocal and progressive lenses and a marginal improvement in new contact lens fits and value of solutions. This month the analysis concentrates on the main business drivers of the practice and the financial consequence over the past two years.
Total practice turnover (Figure 1) reveals strong performance in the early months of both the two years charted (January 2013 to January 2015) but the fall from May 2014 over the next two months was particularly severe.
