Business

The positive signs we saw last month have not been maintained, with almost all our performance indicators showing falls from those reported in August. When we compare the third-quarter results for this year with those of 2013 we see that fewer eye examinations have been carried out and the volume of spectacles dispensed and total turnover are both marginally lower. On the plus side the results comparing the same quarter last year are positive for new contact lens fits, the value of solutions sold, the percentage of spectacles sold with antireflective coats and turnover per eye examination.
