Figure 1 shows an enlarged view of the lesion presented in last week's issue (Optician 20.05.11) found in a 68-year-old female myope presenting with peripheral photopsia. She was not aware of any vitreous floaters at this time and her acuity was unaffected at 6/7.5. A small disturbance may be seen in the temporal periphery of the left eye. The patient was advised with regard to symptoms of retinal detachment.
