It is perhaps a sign of the increasing awareness of the importance of artificial optical radiation that employing authorities in the UK have been gearing up for implementation of the European Directive 2006/25/EC on artificial optical radiation. The 'go live' date was April 27 2010. The directive is perhaps better known as the 'Physical Agents' package.
