Pump up the volume: Luxottica showcases new collection

Colour, textures and volume all came to the fore across the 17 collections being showcased in London by Luxottica at its Autumn/Winter collection preview.

Within its ranges were outrageously jewelled acetates, velveteen Wayfarers and boldly outlined sunwear. The Italian frame giant has turned up the volume in the material across many of its ranges with deep outlines and broad borders of acetate in evidence throughout the brands. It has also revisited the colour catalogue with a wide range of hues from muted pastels to vibrant yellows. For pure novelty value the velvet finish on the new Wayfarer family and the stones set in primary-coloured plastics from Prada are likely to command the most column inches in the monthly style magazines.
