The case we published was of a diabetic patient. There were many points one could focus on that would be useful learning objectives. A good case for discussion is likely to be one where there are many aspects to consider.

Here are a few key points one could take from the exercise:

? The need for more detail in the history/symptoms and patient presentation notes. There is little to indicate the current stability or level of control. How good is the control? - a reference to a HbA1c value would be an excellent point to make here. She has stopped her screening as there is 'no point'. The peer group might all agree as to what the minimum information might be here - such as when was she last screened and what was then recommended?
