Presbyopic patients represent a greater challenge because they are accustomed to excellent levels of visual acuity following laser vision correction. The onset of presbyopia makes them seek a refractive solution to their problems that is definitive and allows them to continue with an active and spectacle-independent lifestyle. For a great number of patients refractive lens exchange is an attractive proposition.
