100% Optical attendance jumps 10%

Attendance reached 10,657 at the event in London last weekend (February 25-27)

Attendance at 100% Optical reached 10,657 at Excel in London last weekend (February 25-27), which was a 10% increase on its previous record attendance, according to event organisers Media 10.

Nathan Garnett, event director, said: ‘This year’s show has been a phenomenal success, from a massive uplift in visitor numbers to the greatest range of top brands in attendance, we couldn’t be happier with the results.

‘The testimonials and rebooks for 2024 give us the motivation to keep growing this show for the benefit of everyone in optics.’

The three-day event featured eyewear, equipment, ophthalmic lens and contact lens exhibitors alongside an education programme.

Next year’s 10th anniversary show has been confirmed for February 24-26, 2024 and Media 10 has extended its education partnership with the Association of Optometrists (AOP) until 2025.

‘During the show, we’ve been over-subscribed and there’s been queues for our education sessions. It’s been super busy and we’ve received lots of really interesting queries for our education sessions,’ the AOP added.

Show organisers said a dedicated ophthalmology section and education programme would feature as part of its 10th anniversary show in 2024.
