Practitioners are being urged to get involved in Road Safety Week (November 19-25) by displaying a free poster available through the Optical Confederation website.
The campaign, coordinated by charity Brake, appeals to drivers to slow down to 20mph when possible. Mark Nevin, for the Confederation, said: 'We are delighted to be able to support Road Safety Week and alert drivers to the importance of driving with good vision.'
'Participation in Road Safety Week allows community optics to play its part to improve road safety.'
