Road Safety Week

Schoolchildren in London have set out in force to drive home the key messages of Road Safety Week. Pupils at William Tyndale Primary School, Islington, were allowed to join police doing speed checks for the campaign this week.

The initiative, which calls for 20mph speed limits outside of schools, was also supported by local Specsavers' store directors Raj Kukadia (right) from Holborn and Raj Ramesh Chandegra (left) from Islington. Road Safety Week, organised by the charity Brake, took place from November 19-25.

Specsavers has released further statistics on the state of drivers' vision to coincide with the awareness week.
