A thief caused ‘substantial damages' to Penarth Eye Centre

A thief burgled independent opticians, Penarth Eye Centre, on March 30 in the early morning, and escaped with around £6,000 of designer sunglasses.
The robber smashed the front glass window to enter, causing ‘substantial damage to the property,’ according to the Penarth Times and local police.
The incident was reported to the South Wales Police by owner Rebecca Griffin at 4.30am, however delays in response caused by ‘technical errors’ meant that the eye centre was forced to open in the afternoon.
