ABC of sustainability

A glossary including specific optics terms and general sustainability words has been created by the Optical Suppliers Associations (OSA) as a resource for the optical sector.

The OSA said the glossary was available for free on its website and also directed users to other resources, website and current standards related to sustainability.

Jayne Abel, chair of the OSA sustainability committee, said: ‘This new resource is the result of many months of research and editing, and to the best of our knowledge it’s the first of its kind in the optical industry. We hope all OSA members and our other stakeholders find it useful and enlightening, both in clinical practice and throughout the optical supply chain.’
