Signing up for sustainability

The OSA held its first sustainability committee meeting

Sustainability goals for the optical profession were discussed at the first Optical Suppliers Association (OSA) Sustainability Committee meeting on July 23.

Chaired by Jayne Abel, co-founder of Eyespace, with deputy chair Julian Wiles, managing director of Performance Lenses, the meeting included support and advice for practitioners who wanted prioritised sustainability.

The committee announced plans to develop a voluntary charter that OSA members could sign up to and show their commitment to behaving in an environmentally responsible way.
