ABDO announced new appointments to its board in Peter Black, Garry Kousoulou and Ted Moffatt at its AGM in Harrogate last weekend. There are nine members on the ABDO board, with three positions vacated and subject to renewed election annually.
Black, an MBA, has held a number of positions within ABDO, as a practical examiner, former regional chairman, CET representative and member of the Area 3 committee. Kousoulou's mandate stated that he would like to bring about the situation where the general public specifically ask to see a dispensing optician to dispense their spectacles. This, said ABDO, 'had proven to be a true sentiment of the membership, clearly illustrated by the result of the election'.
