ABDO presents life memberships and honorary fellowship

Life memberships and an honorary fellowship have been presented to optical contributors by the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

ABDO board member and contact lens optician Keith Cavaye, chairman of the ABDO College trustees Angela McNamee and former ABDO College lecturer Alan Paine received life memberships and Professor Kate Springett of Canterbury Christ Church University was awarded an honorary fellowship for her work on the degree programmes that were set up in collaboration with ABDO College.

The presentations took place at a dinner in London on July 24 with ABDO board members and trustees.

ABDO president Clive Marchant said: ‘This was a very special event, and it was a privilege to be able to present these prestigious awards to people who have truly contributed to the development of the profession in many ways.’
