ABDO NRC’s optical glazing lab receives new equipment

An optical glazing laboratory has been fully fitted in the Association of British Dispensing Opticians’ (ABDO) National Resource Centre (NRC) in Birmingham.

Equipment includes a Nidek Lexce 3 in one edger, filtration systems and an auto-lensmeter, supplied by Birmingham Optical, a Huvitz HPE810 edger, Xpert Auto Blocker and a HPE810 edger provided by Mainline Optical and a Neksia edger & blocker, a Delta edger, and Neptune filtration units from Essilor.

Head of the NRC Phil Hall said: ‘We are delighted to offer this extended and improved glazing laboratory to add to the facilities at the NRC. The centre is continuing to expand what it offers, with more facilities in the pipeline. We are getting more and more enquiries for meetings, courses and training at the venue, and I am now taking bookings into 2021.’
