The Association of British Dispensing Opticians has responded to what it described as inaccurate comments about the ABDO College circulating among a small group of members on online optical forums including the ABDO website's Bulletin Board.
Posters on theoptom.com questioned the College's funding and its Godmersham location, following a recent comment in the ABDO College Re:View that it was now in the black.
The joint statement from ABDO president Jennifer Brower and Colin Lee, chairman of ABDO College Trustees, said that it was 'particularly disappointing because despite repeated statements made by ABDO and ABDO College leaders over the past 10 years to explain the course of events there still appeared to be a lack of understanding on the part of some members.
