University of Surrey academic receives Squint Forum Prize for dementia research

Dr Marianne Coleman from the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey has received the Squint Forum Prize for her research in dementia.

Her research looked at how depth perception is affected by dementia and if changes in pupil size during memory tasks could monitor the progression of the condition.

Dr Coleman will present her research in December at the Royal Society of Medicine base in London.

Head of the School of Health Sciences, Professor Melaine Coward, said: ‘Congratulations to Marianne on this fantastic award. This is testament to all her hard work and dedication, and I look forward to witnessing all her future achievements.’
