Visually impaired people from across England have become Action for Blind People’s calendar stars for 2014.

The charity said the individuals shared their ‘remarkable and inspiring’ stories and represented the 27,000 individuals who have benefited from its help over the past 12 months.

Jacqueline Goorwitch (pictured), from Hove, is the face of September and tells her personal story about sight loss, alongside information about the charity’s eye clinic liaison officers.

‘You can feel quite isolated and lonely at times. That’s why friendly support like Action provides is so important ? they really are there for you,’ she said. The calendar also has statistics about Action’s services and successes and can viewed here.
