Membership of Luxottica's new partnership scheme offers independent practices a competitive edge over their rivals. Alex Thomas reports

Following the success of its Elite Client programme (News 5.10.07), Luxottica UK has launched another partnership scheme for independent opticians.

Supported by specialist marketing, the Advantage initiative will focus on fashion brands and will allow practitioners to access better terms and better customer service from Luxottica as well as giving them access to its luxury and premium brands such as Ray-Ban and Prada.

Explaining the terms of membership for the Advantage programme, Thomas Brochier, the manufacturer's wholesale country manager for the UK and Ireland, said that members must stock at least three Luxottica brands and order a minimum 24 pieces per year for each.
