
Akoni eyewear has partnered with OffiCine, a higher-education cinema laboratory, to provide film scholarships to cinema students.
The student group created a short film titled Elogio as part of its film workshops, which featured Akoni brand signatures.
Akoni’s artistic director and co-founder, Salma Rachid, said: ‘To best reflect the distinctive relationship that our customers develop with us, the Akoni team tends to rely on emotional choices in language and imagery—and art is, after all, the universal emotional language.
‘While our collections often draw inspiration from past and present legendary visionaries in architecture, cinema and art, we believe it’s also important to empower new generations of artists, because tomorrow’s storytellers will help us reach a better understanding of the world that we live in and the challenges we face.’
