Alain Mikli has opened a shop-in-shop store in the heart of Bangkok at Boutique Infinite Gallery, a practice in the upmarket district of Siamparagon.

The Mikli company said that market-leading opticians could adopt the fundamental values of the Alain Mikli brand and take advantage of a complete, shop-in-shop concept.

Designed by Philippe Starck, the luxury, custom tailored area comes in modules from 12sq m to 25sq m, and features wood, a chandelier, mirrors and displays expressing the Alain Mikli brand and designed to make selling frames a pleasurable experience.

The company offers technical training for the practice staff, and oversees and supports the marketing of the products.

It added that the shop-in-shop concept gave dynamic commercial potential, attracting attention and generating customer traffic.

Alain Mikli representatives discuss the foundations of the partnership with the opticians and technical specialists who work for Mikli examine the details.

Each shop-in-shop is custom fitted, with detailed measurements and proposed configurations, depending on the floorspace, with simulations to show the personalised architectural layout.

It takes two months between the time the decision is made and the inauguration of the shop-in-shop.
