Albert Road Opticians climb Snowdonia

Staff at Albert Road Opticians in Wilmslow have climbed Snowdonia in Wales as a team building exercise.

The team included and practice owner Deepak Oberai, optical curator Claire Lamb, and dispensing opticians Rachelle Garcia-Russo, Marcus Hassell and Pete Moore.

They started their climb at 11am from the mountain base and reached the top three hours later. However, visibility was poor on the way down due to heavy rain.

Garcia-Russo said: ‘After a small huddle in the café at the top of the mountain, the only way home was to climb down. What really impressed me was the resilience and commitment from the team that it’s not a big hurdle and we can do this. So slowly and surely, we all helped each other down and the sense of accomplishment was fabulous.’
