Alcon invited shoppers to participate in a live cross-mall staring contest during the weekend.
The contact lens firm had booths at Westfield centres in Stratford and Shepherds Bush, encouraging passers-by to compete for a free contact lenses trial.
It was the start of a ‘Don’t let anything make you feel uncomfortable’ marketing campaign for Dailies Total1, which will continue with screens, which use facial recognition technology to determine who blinks first, planned for other UK venues.
The London pop-up event took place between October 24-26 and was created by advertising agency Razorfish.
