Alcon opens centre in Texas

Alcon has opened a new eye health education and training centre at its global headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

The new 36,000 sq ft global training hub will be used to educate practitioners, students and Alcon employees on the latest developments in optometry and ophthalmology.

‘The Alcon Experience Center will help train and educate professionals in a way that is entirely accessible, providing hands-on training and enabling doctors from around the world to become immersed with Alcon’s broad portfolio of technology in a manner that provides a realistic practice environment,’ said a company spokesperson.

A fully-equipped optometric training area with exam lanes to simulate an actual practice environment, will be included in the facility.
