Former director of Burdett Optical Company Alfred Seelig died on December 29 2005. He was 81.
Seelig, who was known also as 'Alf' managed the company from its Mowlem Street factory for many years and supplied spectacle frames to the UK and international market.
The company was taken over by CLM group in 1983.
