With a stand at the Liberal Democrat party conference in Bournemouth from September 13 to 17, The Eye Health Alliance has been lobbying its agenda to the party's politicians.
Heather Marshall, head of public affairs at the Eye Health Alliance, said that it had met with the Liberal Democrat's health team, who she said 'recognised that the services opticians provide are cost effective and of benefit to patients by having those services in the community, while also agreeing that there are other enhanced services that opticians could provide'.
Marshall said that the party 'had been very supportive of all our ideas'.
