The Association of Optometrists (AOP) welcomed applications to its Hospital Optometrists Committee (HOC) with elections taking place across three open seats in April.
Encouraging members to apply, Adam Sampson, chief executive of the AOP, said: ‘The HOC plays a crucial role in championing the views of hospital-based optometrists and advancing the profession as a whole.’
Eligible candidates for the three-year term included current AOP members; hospital optometrists working with a health authority or optometrists working in a similar role.
Applications would close on April 11, with voting open on April 23 and closing on May 7, while the results would be announced in May and new Committee members, officially welcomed at the June AGM.
