Autorefractor donated to homeless eye health charity

Specsavers volunteer optometrist provided a key piece of equipment

Specsavers Northallerton optometry director Ross Campbell donated an autorefractor to the Leeds Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP) clinic.

David Brown, general manager at VCHP, added: ‘Ross started volunteering at our Leeds clinic for homeless people in 2022 and has further supported the clinic with this fantastic donation of equipment. Local practices can help this cause in many different ways, so I would encourage them to follow Ross's lead and they can start by contacting the charity.’

Campbell added: ‘It’s useful in our VCHP clinics as it’s great for those patients with particular requirements. It makes their patient journey quicker and less challenging. It also allows the optometrist to spend more time with the patient examining their eye health.’
