Bird Eyewear has become the third eyewear brand in the world and first in the UK to achieve B Corp status in recognition of its commitment to sustainable and ethical business.
To become a certified B Corp status a company must balance purpose and profit while proritising the environment and society in the way it does business.
Ed Bird, founder of Bird Eyewear, said: ‘We’re delighted to have achieved B Corp status and will continue to build on this firm foundation as we grow. It’s great to be part of a global movement of companies using business as a force for good.’
Bird Eyewear uses materials such as FSC certified wood, bio-based acetate and repurposed aerospace aluminium and has a charitable partnership with SolarAid.
