A one-day feast of cakes and biscuits at an Eastbourne practice has raised £260 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Staff at the town's Specsavers on Terminus Road sold home-baked goods and other refreshments in exchange for donations from visitors to the store.

Martin East, Specsavers Eastbourne store director, said: 'Everyone at the store had a fantastic time at our Big Bake Day. It actually got quite competitive. Everyone who visited the store was able to enjoy some tasty treats to help us raise essential funds for this very worthwhile charity.'

Audiologist Emma Watkins (left) and senior clinical assistant Lynsey Dickens were pictured at the stand.
